This splendid antique Persian Lavar rug displays a dazzling array of numerous flora including pomegranates, swept leaves, blossoms, palmettes and vines beautifully fashioned in a multiplicity of colors. The all-over design starts at a central point and produces a mirroring effect to the north and south of the main field. The surrounding border provides an alternating pattern of fanning pomegranates in similar tones to create a complementary ensemble of romantic Persian design.
