Keivan Woven Arts hosts the Culture Club Lecture Series
Wednesday, October 19th, at 6:30pm
The Magnificent World of Pearls
Culture Club this month goes on a world tour to discover the magnificent world of pearls. We'll spend a little time in Japan, then to the pristine waters of northern Australia, to the pearl farms of China, and to the great state of Tennessee! You'll learn what to look for when buying pearls, common mistakes to avoid and how to properly care for the most versatile gem. For certain, you will never look at them quite the same way again.
Our speaker, Lee Wiser McIntosh, is an Atlanta jeweler who creates bespoke pieces and specializes in the re-styling and restoration of antique jewelry. Although she likes diamonds as much as the next girl, she really goes weak in the knees for pearls. Her atelier, KATURA, is located at the Galleries of Peachtree Hills.
